Position Overview:
The Web Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing user-centric web interfaces that align with our brand identity and business goals. This role requires a strong understanding of web design principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex ideas into visually appealing and functional websites. The ideal candidate will have experience in both design and front-end development, with a passion for creating seamless online experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Web Design:
Create visually appealing website designs that align with our brand guidelines and project requirements.
Design website layouts, user interfaces (UI), and other visual elements using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.
Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
Front-End Development:
Convert design concepts into responsive, interactive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate UI components with server-side logic.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
User Experience (UX) Design:
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and improve website functionality.
Design user flows, personas, and sitemaps to enhance the overall user experience.
Implement best practices in UX design to create intuitive and accessible web interfaces.
Content Management:
Work with content creators to ensure that website content is well-organized, relevant, and aligns with the design.
Use content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla to manage and update website content.
Optimize images, graphics, and other media for web use.
SEO & Analytics:
Implement on-page SEO best practices to improve website visibility in search engines.
Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate SEO strategies into web design.
Use web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website performance and make data-driven design decisions.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet expectations.
Participate in design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to refine design concepts.
Stay up to date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Web Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing web design projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, or Sketch.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
Design & UX Skills:
Excellent understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
Experience with user-centered design processes, including user research, wireframing, and prototyping.
Ability to design for accessibility and usability, following best practices for web standards.
