Food for the Hungry Indonesia is an independent non-governmental organization based in Medan, North Sumatra and operates in North Sumatra Province and the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra Province. Food for the Hungry Indonesia started working in Indonesia after the December 2004 tsunami killed 283,000 people. Food for the Hungry Indonesia worked with devastated communities to help them rebuild their lives and homes. In 2011, Food for the Hungry Indonesia began a long-term development work and currently we are working to address all forms of human poverty, visible and invisible through livelihood, education, health and DRR sectors. Our purpose is graduating communities from extreme poverty.

Yayasan Fondasi Hidup (FH Indonesia) is seeking the following positions:

1. Area Program Manager (APM), 2 positions

Location: North Sumatera (NS) & West Sumatera (WS)

Purpose of position:

Area Program Manager will plan, organize, coordinate and lead project implementation at the Area Program level, including the management of personnel, M&E and finance management within the area program, ensuring that projects stay on time, scope, and budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in development studies/social sciences, business administration, and development agricultural sciences, environment and resilience programing.
• Post graduate qualification in project management, management, development studies or M&E is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in program management, compliance, and financial management in a similar position. Non-profit experience is a plus.
• Experience in working closely with other development partners and stakeholders including but not limited to, sector working groups, county government, international and local NGOs , and private and institutional donors.
• Demonstrable experience supervising multi-functional teams.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in program management and coordination, from program inception (proposal writing and budget development) to implementation and close out.
• Demonstrable budget management experience, including experience implementing and working in accordance with corporate and donor policies and practices.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with local communities and other stakeholders.
• Excellent report writing, interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to reside within the area program and travel to the field at least 25% of their time. Expectation is 25-50% of their time.
• Knowledge and experience with participatory approaches, including systems mapping, human centered design, and capacity building of local partners, is desired.

1. Development Facilitator (DF), 8 positions

Location: Langkat (2 posts), Deli Serdang (2 posts), Pagai (2posts), Siberut (2 posts)

Purpose of position:

The Development Facilitator will manage and nurture relationships with shareholders and other key stakeholders within AP target communities; co-facilitate community led system sensing (system’s mapping); and co-create and deliver solutions that build resilience. By strategically aligning value exchange efforts with FH’s mission, the facilitator plays a crucial role in enhancing both the impact and sustainability of FH’s initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Social work, International Development, or a related field is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a community facilitation role and stakeholder engagement, or community development or relationship management, preferably in an NGO or development context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of community development, child sponsorship models, program coordination, and the importance of value exchange in stakeholder relations.
• Basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation.
• Strong facilitation skills in working with community groups.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to donor relations and international development.
• Computer application skills mainly MS Office, and data management.

1. Value Exchange Relationship Coordinator (VERC), 4 positions

Location: Langkat (North Sumatera), Deli Serdang (North Sumatera), Pagai (Mentawai, West Sumatera), Siberut (Mentawai, West Sumatera)

Purpose of position:

The Value Exchange Relationships Coordinator ensures that stakeholder engagement is closely aligned with FH’s value proposition, program model, and programme outcomes by leading the management and strengthening of relationships with shareholders, investors, and key stakeholders at the Area Program level.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Social work, International Development, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with stakeholder engagement, relationship management, or donor relations, preferably in an NGO or international development context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of child sponsorship models, program coordination, and the importance of value exchange in stakeholder relations.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to donor relations and international development.
• Excellent training and facilitation skills and creativity to engage in meaningful and joyful activities with children.
• Computer application skills, mainly MS Office and mobile or web-based database
