• Coordinate and organize travel arrangements for employees working on a FIFO roster, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and any necessary visas.
• Collaborate with travel agencies and suppliers to secure the best possible available travel deals and options.
• Ensure compliance with company travel policies and procedures, local regulations, safety standards while considering the comfort and well-being of employees.
• When travel arrangements are within approved travel reasons and budget limits, makes all arrangements and reservations as requested.
• Work closely with the operational teams to create and maintain the FIFO roster schedule.
• Prepares travel itineraries and distributes travel arrangements and schedules to all appropriate staff.
• Advises travelers of and assists with any need for specialized travel documents such as visas or passports.
• Identifies, negotiates, and coordinates all in-country support vendors such as transportation, hotels/venues, and caterers to ensure each event is completed per the specified plan.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with employees regarding their travel itineraries, schedules, and any changes.
• Coordinate logistics for employees’ arrival and departure, ensuring seamless transfers between airports, accommodations, and mining sites.
• Maintain accurate records of travel expenses/cost, itineraries, and related documentation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Proven experience as a travel coordinator or in a similar role, preferably within the mining or resources industry and with knowledge of FIFO operations.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex schedules and itineraries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, suppliers, and stakeholders effectively.
• Proficiency in travel management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with travel regulations, safety standards, and visa requirements.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing situations.
• Fluency in English
• Reporting and Analysis
• Supplier Relations and Strong negotiation skills and experience in cost-effective travel arrangement management.
