**Job Description

Learning & Development Manager
Selong Selo Resort Lombok**

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing learning programs that enhance employee competencies, support operational excellence, and strengthen service standards across the resort. This role also supports recruitment and hiring processes to ensure the resort attracts and selects qualified talent.


Key Responsibilities

1. Training Strategy & Planning

  • Develop the Annual Training Plan aligned with operational needs and service standards.

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across all departments.

  • Create learning roadmaps for staff, supervisors, and managerial levels.

2. Program Development & Implementation

  • Design and deliver various training programs: orientation, soft skills, technical skills, leadership development, safety & compliance, and service excellence.

  • Coordinate external training with partners such as training institutions, tourism schools, and certification bodies.

  • Manage onboarding and induction programs for new hires.

3. Quality & Service Standards

  • Ensure all training programs support brand standards and operational SOPs.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and on-the-job performance reviews.

  • Partner with Department Heads to maintain consistent service quality.

4. Performance Improvement

  • Support managers in drafting and executing Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams when needed.

5. Recruitment & Hiring

  • Collaborate with Department Heads to identify manpower needs and develop job profiles.

  • Conduct sourcing, screening, and initial interviews for various positions.

  • Coordinate with hiring managers throughout the selection process to ensure smooth and timely hiring.

  • Support employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality candidates.

  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with company policies and local labor regulations.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain training records, training matrix, attendance, certificates, and compliance documents.

  • Prepare monthly training reports and recruitment updates for the HR Manager/GM.

7. Talent Development

  • Manage succession planning and internal talent development programs.

  • Develop internal pipelines for supervisory and managerial positions.

8. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all mandatory training (BLS, First Aid, Fire Safety, HACCP, etc.) is conducted according to regulations.

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain workplace safety and compliance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Hospitality, Education, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Learning & Development or HR, preferably in hospitality.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

  • Experience in recruitment, interviewing techniques, and candidate evaluation.

  • Knowledge of hotel operations, service standards, and training methodologies.

  • Training of Trainer (TOT) certification is an advantage.
