Our Client : well-established company from Singapore dedicated to the manufacturing and distribution of automotive and industrial products. They have operations in Asia, Europe, MiddleEast and Latin America.

As part of our growth and expansion strategy, we are seeking a high performing “Trade Marketing Manager” to be placed in a Mexico sales & distribution centre.

Job Summary:

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive sales and enhance brand visibility in the trade channels. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to create effective marketing campaigns, promotions, and trade programs that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development:
    • Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to support the company’s distribution objectives and drive sales growth.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for trade marketing initiatives.
  2. Campaign Management:
    • Plan, lead, and implement trade marketing campaigns, including promotions, events, and trade shows.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, product development, and creative) to ensure campaign alignment and execution.
    • Reporting, evaluate campaign result and continuous improvement plan.
    • Draft & implement incentive plan along the distribution channel to reach the sales and company objectives.
  3. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide marketing support for their efforts.
    • Collaborate with distributors and retailers to develop joint marketing programs and promotional activities.
  4. Budget Management:
    • Manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
    • Monitor and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
  5. Market Research:
    • Conduct market research to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Use insights to inform marketing strategies and improve trade marketing effectiveness.
  6. Performance Tracking:
    • Track and analyze the performance of trade marketing initiatives using key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Prepare and present regular reports on campaign results and ROI.
  7. Brand Management:
    • Ensure consistency of brand messaging and positioning across all trade marketing activities.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to reinforce brand presence and support marketing goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in trade marketing, sales, or a related field, preferably in a distribution company, the FMCG sector 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and marketing software/tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Willing to be placed overseas (Mexico)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing budgets and analyzing financial reports.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis tools.
