Dear Good People,

Our client, a Japanese Manufacturing, is looking for Tools & Jig Assistant Manger with below details:

Job Description:

• Coordinate with all departments to ensure the availability of necessary tools and jigs.
• Prepare monthly tool purchase requests.
• Manage tool inventory, monitor the useful life of tools, and update records accordingly.
• Track and update the JIG status for each section of the machine shop.
• Lead preventive maintenance activities for JIGs and oversee the setup (model change) team.
• Oversee the regrinding process and ensure the equipment is in good working condition.
• Ensure correct tool setup procedures are followed, and verify that the parameter settings align with the tool type or grade.
• Develop SOP-IK for all processes within the Tool Shop and ensure compliance with these procedures.
• Minimize defects caused by cutting tools, setting tools, and jigs.
• Generate analysis reports to be submitted to management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role as an Assistant Manager, or 5 years as a Supervisor.
• Strong understanding of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Solid understanding of machining processes.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing technology for automotive parts (work experience in this area is a plus).
• Expertise in cutting, machining, and sheet metal practices, including both manual and CNC machines, as well as familiarity with machining standards (e.g., ISO standards for machining and tolerances).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in discussions, presentations, and business writing.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Capable of logically analyzing and interpreting data and providing clear explanations.
