Tobacco Application & Compounder in Indonesia (contract based) – Your future position?

Being a Tobacco Application & Compounder in Givaudan, a company leader in the fragrance and flavour industry, you will follow established procedures and guidelines to prepare tobacco flavour samples and take part in tobacco flavor evaluations, in order support effective application process, according to business goals and EHS. You will report directly to Senior Flavourist and located at Depok Office. 

In this role you will:

• Prepare flavour samples as requested for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing, etc.
• Act as the main point of contact to provide timely flavour samples for other labs and functions within Givaudan
• Maintain all required formula records and brief documentation in company database software (Lab Note-book, OpenText Athena, Atlas, Lot Number records, etc.)
• Maintain organized and updated stock of raw materials in the lab
• Maintain organized collection of flavours in the lab for immediate response to briefs and applications requests
• Participate in the evaluation of raw materials (including experimental ingredients), new technology, and flavours in tobacco and provide flavour performance feedback
• Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EHS guidelines and good laboratory practices

Your professional profile includes:

• Polytechnic or Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Food Technology or Chemistry
• 2 years of experience in a food applications lab, production or related area. Fresh graduate are welcome to apply
• Proficiency in using common PC applications
• Ability to follow flavour formulations and to compound flavours with speed and accuracy
• Basic ability to prepare flavour delivery systems and assist with product evaluations and sensory tests
• Ability to organize a flavour lab efficiently and keep raw materials and flavour collections up to date
• Ability to communicate in English is a plus
