About the role

As the General Manager of the Food Production Factory at PT.WAN’, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and growth of the company’s food manufacturing facility located in Medan Deli, North Sumatra. This is a full-time position that will require you to lead a team of production managers, logistics coordinators, and quality assurance specialists to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality food products to customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and implementing production targets, policies, and procedures to optimise factory efficiency and productivity

• Overseeing the procurement of raw materials, production scheduling, and inventory management to meet customer demand

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and minimise operational costs

• Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to align production with customer requirements

• Providing strategic leadership and direction to the factory management team

• Reporting on key performance indicators and financial metrics to the company’s senior executives

• Extensive experience (3+ years) in a senior management role within the food manufacturing industry

• Proven track record of leading high-performing production teams and driving operational excellence

• In-depth knowledge of food production processes, quality control, and supply chain management

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels

• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as food science, engineering, or business management
