Role

AwanTunai is looking for a Test Automation Engineer who will be  responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products. This role requires a strong background in software testing, automation tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Test Automation Frameworks:
  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Ensure the automation framework is scalable, maintainable, and easy to use.
• Automate Test Cases:
  • Identify test cases suitable for automation.
  • Write and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify testing requirements.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Ensure tests run consistently and reliably in various environments.
• Defect Tracking and Reporting:
  • Identify, document, and track software defects.
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Test Planning and Execution:
  • Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution.
  • Perform manual testing when necessary to complement automated tests.
• Quality Metrics and Reporting:
  • Monitor and report on test automation coverage and results.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Stay Current with Industry Trends:
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, karate, TestNG, JUnit, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, gatling.
  • Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Java Script.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
