Technical Support Specialists for COSMOSTAR products play an important role in helping customers and potential customers resolve technical issues with products or services. They are responsible for providing assistance, troubleshooting and guidance to customers and prospective customers experiencing technical issues. The primary goal of a Technical Support Specialist for COSMOSTAR products is to ensure customer and prospect satisfaction by providing effective solutions and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Assistance:
• Respond to customer inquiries and issues through various channels, including phone, email, chat, or in-person.
• Listen actively to understand and diagnose technical problems reported by customers.
• Troubleshooting:
• Analyze technical issues and work to identify the root causes of problems.
• Utilize troubleshooting tools and techniques to solve product problems, or problems related to usage.
• Problem Resolution:
• Provide clear and concise instructions to customers on how to resolve technical problems.
• Offer remote assistance when applicable or escalate complex issues to higher-level support.
• Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.
• Contribute to knowledge bases and documentation to help customers find solutions independently.
• Product Knowledge:
• Stay up to date with the latest product features, updates, and known issues.
• Be capable of explaining complex technical concepts in a simple, understandable manner.
• Customer Service:
• Offer exceptional customer service by being patient, empathetic, and attentive to customer needs.
• Follow up with customers to ensure that their issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with marketing members, developers, and other engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide feedback on recurring issues to assist in product improvement.
• Training and Education:
• Assist in training customers or colleagues on how to use products effectively.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A minimum of a Vocational High School graduate in a relevant field (such as mechanical engineering, shipping engineering and similar) is often preferred, but not always required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Patience, empathy, and a customer-centric attitude.
• Proficiency with hardware tools.
• Knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office principles (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and products.
