Requirement

  • Bachelor of Marine Engineering, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years sailing experience as chief engineer, preferably AHTS or Hp above 3700 KW
  • Has Experience as Chief Mechanic who regulates maintenance and repair of ships for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Experience as the Naval Architecture Manager or Assistant Manager of mechanical engineering 3 years.
  • Having a Technical Expert Certificate, preferably a level 1 Technician with a minimum of ATT 2.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible & Provide consultation to Executive Management on all matters relating to the maintenance and technical repairs of the ship’s fleet.
  • Develop audit program techniques to ensure that Company Policies are carried out by the team safely and reliably.
  • Review and monitor engineering expenses so that repair and maintenance costs can be efficient and effective
  • Build and provide support in the Development of the Technical Team in carrying out their responsibilities
  • Cooperate with customers on inspection of technical and operational
  • Make regular visits to the ship
  • Collaborate with Technical Superintendent & Port Engineer for vessel maintenance & repair, etc.
  • Make periodic plans with quarterly targets and make achievement reports.
  • Carry out technical inspections of all ships.
  • Manage and supervise the technical team to ensure optimal ship performance.
  • Supervise and control ship operational and maintenance costs from planning annual maintenance costs and ship docking costs.
  • Develop and provide support in developing technical staff in carrying out technical department responsibilities.
  • Cooperate with customers on inspection of technical and operational issues including ship engineering quality vessels.
  • Develop and implement ship maintenance and repair strategies.
  • Coordinate, develop and implement with other departments in accordance with ship operational procedures and standards to ensure ship safety and security.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems that arise on the ship.
  • Coordinate with third parties (such as shipyards, service providers, etc.) to ensure optimal ship performance.
  • Supervise and control the quality of goods and equipment used on ships when carrying out ship maintenance or repairs.
  • Develop and implement audit programs, training programs to improve the technical team’s capabilities by controlling team performance in accordance with duties and responsibilities.
  • Supervise and control ship technical documents such as operational manuals, diagrams, etc.
