About the role

Canggu Community School (Badung) is seeking a dedicated Primary Year 1 Teacher Assistant to join our passionate team of educators in Bali. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our students’ learning and development.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum

  • Providing individualised support and attention to students, helping them achieve their learning goals

  • Monitoring student progress and communicating with parents to ensure a positive learning experience

  • Participating in school events, field trips, and other extracurricular activities

  • Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Collaborating with the teaching team to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods

What we’re looking for

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a teacher assistant or working with young children in an educational setting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks and priorities

  • A passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of child development

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

  • A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude to inspire and motivate young learners

With the growth of the school, the decision is made to move to a larger campus with 180 students and 9 teachers, with 8 teacher assistants. The first Year 10 class opened to study for their Cambridge IGCSE. The mission of CCS is to have all students develop as confident, socially engaged, and globally responsible citizens who achieve their full potential as long life learners. CCS was granted an international licence from the Indonesian Government and gained accreditation with Cambridge Examinations. CCS is CIS accredited and is authorized to offer the IB Diploma since August 2014 with Year 12 (Grade 11).
