ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the head of Finance Department, the Tax Specialist ensures that taxes are accounted and documented appropriately to prevent fines, audits company records to identify and correct any mistakes or source missing documents, creates tax payment schedule and helps manage clients’ tax budgets. They serve a supervisory and consulting position where they recommend company policies to enable savings on taxes and conduct research on tax laws and stay up to date on the potential tax liabilities in the industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare tax payments monthly in timely and accurate manner (Pph 21, Pph 23, Pph 25, Pph 26, Ppn), complete tax reports and estimate and track tax returns in timely and accurate manner.
  • Organize and update the company’s tax database, complete annual transfer pricing document, and follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes.
  • Liaise with auditors as necessary.
  • Monitor withholding tax receipt an liaise with admin invoice to collect withholding tax receipt from client (Pph 23).
  • Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals, share financial data with the accounting department and identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
  • Forecast tax predictions and provide to management.
  • Understand the financial and operational implications of various tax laws and ensure the company complies with all relevant provisions.
  • Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulations and make appropriate updates to policies and strategies

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduated from bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject; industry certification (e.g. Brevet A and B) is preferred.
  • Proven work experience at least 5 years as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer.
  • Highly proficient in English, reflected by IELTS score 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 60 or TOEFL PBT 500.
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures and familiar with accounting software.
  • Strong numeracy skills, keen attention to detail, good customer service skills, possess good command of written and spoken English.
  • Computer literate (MS Excel in particular) and willing to work under a tight deadline.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and time management skills. Self-motivated, dynamic, and proactive.
