Our client, a leading telecommunication company based in South Jakarta, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage all tax-related matters for the company and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation, including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax, and must demonstrate expertise in tax planning, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Planning:

  • Prepare and manage the company’s annual corporate income tax (CIT) calculation and submission.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives across all tax categories.
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing tax laws to minimize potential tax exposure.

Tax Operations & Reporting:

  • Review monthly VAT and withholding tax (WHT) reconciliations, payments, and reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation for the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Monitor and analyze the impact of changes in tax regulations, providing recommendations and solutions to address these changes.

Tax Dispute Management:

  • Lead the tax dispute process, including preparing argumentation and supporting documents for tax authorities.
  • Act as the main contact person for all tax-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.

Risk Mitigation & Training:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across the organization.
  • Conduct tax-related training sessions for internal stakeholders when necessary.

Regulatory Monitoring & Advisory:

  • Stay updated on tax holiday policies and ensure strategic utilization.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to optimize tax efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Taxation or Accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in taxation, with tax consulting experience preferred.
  • Certification: Brevet A, B, and C certifications are mandatory.
  • Knowledge:
    • Advanced understanding of corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT regulations, and tax applications.
    • Expertise in tax holiday utilization and handling complex tax issues.
  • Skills:
    • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
    • Exceptional data analysis, communication, leadership, and influencing skills.

Preferred Background:

  • Candidates from leading tax consulting firms with solid experience in managing tax operations for large organizations.
