Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, energy efficiency, or environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or agribusiness company.

• Proven experience in project management, including implementing sustainability or CSR initiatives.

• Experience working with international ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CSRD/ESRS, OJK standards) is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of sustainability pillars, ESG principles, and carbon footprint scopes (Scope 1, 2, and 3).

• Familiarity with utility monitoring systems and energy efficiency tracking tools.

• Knowledge of renewable energy and decarbonization technologies (e.g., solar PV, biomass boilers) is a plus.

• Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

• Excellent in Microsoft Excel; experience with sustainability software or carbon accounting tools is a plus.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with regional and global teams.

• Familiarity with Indonesian sustainability regulations and government partnerships is a plus.

• Willingness to travel to factory sites across Indonesia when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Align and develop local strategies for our global flagship responsible feeding program (sustainability pillars).

• Monitor monthly utility consumption and efficiency for each feed mill plant by collecting relevant data from multiple sources such as invoices and factory metering.

• Identify opportunities to reduce the company’s carbon footprint (Scope 1, 2, and 3), develop strategies and a roadmap for decarbonization, and collaborate with internal teams (factory and other departments) and third-party vendors (e.g., PV vendors, Biomass Boiler companies) to achieve these goals.

• Collect ESG data annually for reporting to the group in the Netherlands as part of CSRD (ESRS standards) and for internal Indonesian reports using GRI & OJK standards.

• Identify initiatives to support 9 prioritized green goals with local topic owners and implement these projects/initiatives on the ground (potentially as a project manager or implementer). This could also include CSR projects for De Heus Indonesia.

• Gather and report on the performance of ESG initiatives to higher management at both local and regional levels.

• Establish partnership with the government, development partners, and the non-government and private sectors to ensure ESG/Sustainability projects running well.
