As a Supply Chain Superintendent, you will be responsible in optimizing our client’s supply chain operations to ensure seamless procurement, logistics, and inventory management. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.

Client Details

Our client is a mining contractor company, who is planning to expand their business. Given the current growth, they are seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional to optimize the company’s operations and executions.

Description

• Develop and implement a strategic supply chain plan aligned with overall project objectives and budget.
• Lead procurement activities from sourcing to contract management, overseeing vendor selection, bidding processes, and contract negotiations.
• Manage logistics and transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to mine sites.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing costs.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to proactively address challenges and leverage opportunities within the supply chain.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and best practices

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in supply chain management role with at least 3 years exposure in leadership capacity within the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing supply chain strategies.
• Possesses strong network of vendor / suppliers within the industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
