Purpose of the Role

Lead and organize the operation of general cargo shipments, complying with the requirement of export and import to ensure on-time delivery of purchased material/equipment and nickel product in-order to maintain continuity of inbound and outbound logistic.

Accountabilities:

  1. Planning and lead inbound logistic operation of to ensure its on-time delivery up to Company’s working site with cost effectiveness manner.

  2. Planning and lead the standard applicable rules and regulation compliance of all incoming cargos of purchased material/equipment (domestic and import) and outgoing of nickel product (export) to avoid interruption and delay on each shipment.

  3. Plan the schedule and monitor the incoming chartered vessel and barging for coal and silica shipment to achieve efficient cost per RT general cargo and ensure availability of balanced coal and silica inventory, including the shipment of fuel supply through in-land trucking.

  4. Lead the planning of annual imported and domestic purchasing of goods and services based on commodity category in relation to development of Company’s Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Belanja (RKAB).

  5. Lead report consolidation of nickel product exportation and realization goods & service spending to related government institutions to synchronize plan and actual realization to meet the regulation compliance.

  6. Lead the preparation of custom audit and its mitigation to avoid/eliminate any findings and reduce financial fines.

  7. Lead the risk assessment and its mitigation that involving sea-freight, air freight and in-land cargo shipment activities by controlling critical activities to eliminate/reduce the safety risk.

  8. Implement, monitor and ensure compliance to EHS standard and regulation within his/her working areas.

  9. Promote and lead VPS implementation to increase productivity, safe operation and cost effectiveness. Planning, execute and monitor operation budget to ensure safe and uniterupable inbound and outbond logistic operation within his/her area.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Shipping & Traffic or Export–Import operations.

  2. Export–Import Certification/Pengusaha Pengurusan Jasa Kepabeanan (PPJK) certificate is preferred.

  3. Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a Shipping & Traffic area.

  4. Strong knowledge of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) management.

  5. Proven experience in managing forwarder service contracts, as well as vessel, barge, and tugboat charters.

  6. Computer literate, experienced in MS Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point).

  7. Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).
