Job description & requirements

Job Description:

  • Develop policies, guidelinesand practices related to student advisory and student support programs
  • Supervise, evaluate and enhance Student Advisory & Support Program implementation for students
  • Develop Student Advisory activity development, implementation and evaluation
  • Coordinate student advisory program for students to overcome underachiever and nurture high achiever students
  • Develop program and method to overcome students experiencing difficulty in academic area or in other areas with implementation of student action (success) plans
  • Develop method to identify students at-risk for academic failure, develop and implement strategies to drive student success
  • Develop programs to nurture and develop high achiever students to enhance their potential and provide guidance for further enrichment (e.g., mentor development program and scholarships)
  • Establish consultation program and support forum for students to overcome issues that occur in the classroom environment. Provide information media and inform available resources to students
  • Establish and coordinate planned events, along with other program for students/parents to promote student advisory programs
  • Ensure effective day to day operation process in Student Advisory and Support area • Coordinate and maintain documentation process for students (related to overall academic progress, mentoring program, counseling program, student organization and other activities)
  • Implement effective and suitable update mechanism on students status (e.g., program attendance, counseling and mentoring schedules, counseling and mentoring progress)
  • Maintain an attractive, organize and conducive environment. Ensure the availability of appropriate facilities
  • Analyze and organize intervention services to students, parents and lectures (if necessary)
  • Develop instructional objectives and techniques for effective implementation and program intervention for disability students
  • Coordinate with other units/study programs/parents/therapists/psychologists for program and service implementation
  • Analyze student list of IPK distribution data
  • Analyze and ensure accuracy of data for active student’s percentage calculation (with class transaction)
  • Analyze and ensure the accuracy of data summary and graphic analysis of student status every semester (i.e., active students, Drop Out, UD, graduation, graduate on time)
  • Coordinate review and evaluation process towards counselors & mentee, student organization activities.
  • Provide further recommendation for development
  • Coordinate review, evaluation process and provide further recommendation on the students’ academic achievement result.
  • Report to related Faculty/School
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students listed in Student Advisory and Support Program activity result
  • Evaluate data results to construct strategies and interventions to improve student academic performance
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of overall Student Advisory and Supports Program and modify accordingly
  • Provide Report to direct Supervisor
  • Suggest improvement process related to activities in area of responsibilities (especially related to time concern, effort and cost)
  • Perform activities related to Quality Management System
  • Perform additional tasks related to key responsibilities as required by Direct Supervisor 

Requirement:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree (Major in Psychology/Education)
  • Minimum 2 years in Senior Staff level position, or Minimum 4 years of working experience
  • Special Skills/Certficiation: Coaching/Mentoring & Counseling Skills
