The Specialist – Projects supports the management of capital projects for the region.

• Specialized Support: Provide expert support in capital projects and existing assets, ensuring adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Business Improvement: Contribute to business improvement efforts by delivering cost savings, enhancing governance, and streamlining processes.
• Cost Centre Management: Assist in cost management to ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
• Documentation Management: Ensure proper documentation of design, including concept papers, scope of works, and design reviews as needed.
• Regulatory Compliance: Support regulatory and statutory compliance of assets delivered by the project team, staying abreast of relevant regulations and standards.
• Project Delivery Compliance: Drive compliance of project delivery to Orica’s project processes and Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) requirements.
• Regional Support: Provide support to the region for project and capital management activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Contractor Management: Lead and manage contractors, ensuring adherence to governance standards, project processes, and hazard study procedures for all projects.
• Skills, have a very good understanding of hydraulic systems, electric systems and fabrication.
   

• Minimum 3 to 6 years experience post qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders

• Ability to plan, influence & execute.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
• Role dependent – technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.) 
• Travel is required.
