Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• Having min 5 years experience as a database administrator or a related role.
• Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc
• Strong knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and indexing
• Familiarity with database security concepts and best practices
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus
• Willing to be placed in our mine site Paser East Kalimantan with roster 6 weeks on-site and 2 weeks off (field-brake will be fully accommodated to POH/KTP)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database structures based on organizational requirements and industry best practices
• Configure and deploy database systems according to application needs
• Ensure data integrity and security through appropriate access controls and encryption mechanisms
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and data purging
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation
• Identify and implement performance optimization techniques, including index tuning and query optimization
• Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard sensitive data
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and audit requirements
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks
• Develop and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to minimize data loss and downtime
• Test backup and recovery processes regularly to verify their effectiveness
• Forecast database growth and plan for scalability to accommodate future data needs
• Recommend hardware and software upgrades as necessary to support increasing demands
• Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
• Provide training and support to other IT staff and end-users on database usage and best practices
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other infrastructure components
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns
