As the Business Finance at multinational retail bank, you will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy, providing insightful analysis, and supporting decision-making processes to ensure the bank’s sustainable growth and profitability. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, business leaders, and finance teams, to optimise financial performance and drive operational excellence.

My client is a multinational retail bank. They are expand the Business Finance team and hiring for Manager, Senior Manager, Assistant Vice President and Vice President level.

Description

1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the retail bank’s operations. Conduct in-depth financial analysis and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
2. Performance Monitoring: Establish and maintain financial performance metrics, regularly tracking and reporting on business unit and departmental financial performance against established targets. Prepare executive-level financial presentations and reports to present findings to senior management.
3. Business Partnering: Collaborate with various business units and functional leaders to understand their financial needs, provide financial advice, and support on business initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor in financial matters and assist in driving profitability and efficiency improvements.
4. Financial Modeling: Build sophisticated financial models to assess various scenarios, evaluate investment opportunities, and determine the impact of strategic initiatives on the bank’s financial performance. Provide recommendations based on the outcomes of these models.
5. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and participate in stress testing exercises.
6. Capital Allocation and Resource Management: Assist in the allocation of capital and resources to different business units, projects, and initiatives. Help optimize resource allocation to achieve business objectives efficiently.
7. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and guidelines.
8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls. Implement improvements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency within the finance function.
9. Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance. Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities to team members.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
• At least 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a significant portion within the banking or financial services industry.
• Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are advantageous.
• Strong financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills.
• Sound knowledge of banking products, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in business partnering and effectively collaborating with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial initiatives and achieving results.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and data analytics platforms.
