SIEM Engineer (SOC)

Location : On-site (Gading Serpong, Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten)

We’re building a next-generation SOC to deliver cutting-edge security monitoring services for clients across industries, powered by human expertise and enhanced with AI integration.

As we launch this new project, we’re looking for motivated SIEM Engineers to join our founding team. This is your chance to grow in a startup environment while helping protect our clients from real-world threats.

Your Role

As a SIEM Engineer, you’ll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our security monitoring and response infrastructure. You’ll work closely with SOC Analysts, Threat Hunters, and AI developers to ensure the right data is being collected, the alerts are actionable, and the system is built for scale, speed, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and log management platforms.

• Integrate diverse log sources (firewalls, cloud services, applications, endpoints, etc.) into SIEM.

• Develop and optimize parsing rules, normalization pipelines, and detection logic.

• Build and maintain automation workflows using SOAR and scripting tools (Python, PowerShell).

• Collaborate with AI/ML team to feed quality data and integrate models into detection pipeline.

• Support onboarding of new systems and use cases into the SOC environment.

• Monitor health, performance, and availability of SOC tools and infrastructure.

• Lead troubleshooting of data ingestion, alert misfires, and system failures.

• Ensure compliance with log retention, data privacy, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a SIEM Engineer, SIEM Administrator, or Security Platform Engineer.

• Proficient in at least one SIEM platform (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic, Wazuh).

• Hands-on experience integrating log sources using syslog, API, or agent-based methods.

• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and log parsing.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their logging mechanisms.

• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001).

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

• Certifications such as Splunk Certified Admin, Microsoft SC-200, Elastic Certified engineer, AWS Security Engineer or similar.

Preferred/Bonus Skills

• Experience with SOAR platforms (e.g., Cortex XSOAR, Tines, TheHive).

• Exposure to AI/ML in cybersecurity (e.g., anomaly detection, log enrichment).

• Familiarity with log shipping tools (Beats, Fluentd, Syslog-NG).

• Background in compliance or log forensics.

• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced, agile environment.
