Job Title: Shipping Executive

Location: Bintan, Indonesia

Direct Manager: Global Operation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Request freight quotations from forwarders and provide accurate quotes to customers or Customer Service Inside Sales.

• Ensure all shipping documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations.

• Book shipments with the designated freight forwarder, ensuring all arrangements are confirmed.

• Apply for export permits in a timely manner to facilitate smooth shipment processes.

• Collaborate with Singapore warehouse staff to coordinate the collection and handling of shipments.

• Work closely with haulers for containerized shipments to ensure timely and efficient transportation.

• Verify the accuracy of bills of lading and airway bills, ensuring all details are correct before shipment.

• Review draft forms for accuracy prior to submission to prevent delays in processing.

• Send pre-alert notifications to customers regarding shipment details and timelines.

• Monitor the status of shipments and provide timely updates to customers regarding any changes or delays.

• Apply for insurance for shipments that require a separate insurance policy, ensuring adequate coverage.

• Ensure compliance with ISO and CPAKB standards.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field related to supply chain.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Understanding of shipping, logistics, and supply chain management. Knowledge of customs documentation and processes is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Highly meticulous with a strong focus on details and organizational skills.

• Strong negotiation abilities to facilitate effective communication and deal-making.

• Ability to collaborate and work well with others in a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
