Job Responsibilities:

1. Calculate laytime, demurrage, and dispatch for dry cargo ships.
2. Liaise and negotiate with owners, charterers, shippers, and receivers regarding laytime calculations. 
3. Perform duties related to laytime and provide regular laytime status reports.
4. Review demurrage calculations from customers, suppliers, or owners, clarifying all events.
5. Understand contracts, charter parties, shipping documents, and laytime terms and statements.
6. Ensure accurate and timely review and issuance of demurrage notices to avoid time-barred claims and respond to counter proposals of demurrage claims as per sales and/or purchase contracts and Charter Party clauses. Negotiate in the company’s best interest and settle demurrage claims effectively.
7. Liaise with charter parties to negotiate and settle demurrage disputes.
8. Follow up and monitor vessels operation in loading port to prevent any problem and ensuring the smooth loading process.
9. Report to the Head of Operations on all operational activities and perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Knowledge of laytime calculations and dispute resolution.
2. English proficiency
3. Minimum Diploma holder with 1-2 years of related working experience in the shipping industry, particularly in laytime calculation, is advantageous.
4. Good interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
5. Strong team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
