About the role

PT VOKSEL ELECTRIC Tbk. is seeking a skilled and experienced SHE professional to join our team on a contract basis in Batam, Riau Islands. As the SHE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our construction operations. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the wellbeing of our employees and the local community.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring robust health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

• Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards

• Providing training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and environmental regulations

• Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions

• Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental performance

• Staying up-to-date with changes in regulations and best practices within the construction industry

What we’re looking for

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar health, safety, and environment role within the construction industry

• Strong working knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with safety management software

• A proactive, diligent, and collaborative approach to work
