The Lending team is responsible for building safe, secure and versatile loan products for all user segments. We own a range of platform primitive components such as, but not limited to, Loan Management System, Repayments Engine and Product Flow Orchestrator to name a few.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our Lending Team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality features for critical services that drive end-to-end user journeys across various products within the Grab lending ecosystem. You will work closely with product, business, and program management teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of your projects.

This is a hybrid role and the office is based in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:

• Deliver and maintain high-quality, bug-free code, ensuring robust functionality.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of key services within the lending ecosystem.
• Continuously improve and refactor systems to meet scalability and performance demands.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and enhance the tech stack.
• Implement best practices in frontend and backend development for scalability, efficiency, and security.
• Support SRE and DevOps teams in setting up and maintaining infrastructure and microservices.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support operational excellence and address critical issues.

What Essential Skills You Will Need:

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in Fullstack Development with Experience in building large scale micro-services.
• Proficient with at least one language commonly used for backend services development (Go, C++, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python etc.), but willing to work on Go
• Proficient in HTTP protocol, experienced with MySQL databases, and knowledgeable in cloud technologies, including developing and deploying services on the cloud.
• Deep understanding of the JavaScript programming language, familiar with various UI components and UI development, and have deep understanding of the JavaScript language.
• You will be reporting to an Engineering Manager
