• Ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information – all multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development.

Evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks for challenges.

• Working with customers at strategic or senior levels to shape and delivering leading edge solutions/processes, seeking feedback and innovating with the customer to drive and deliver improvements, meet customer needs, and developing long term relationship.
• Interacting with public officials, consortium partners, contractors, suppliers, and others.

Finalizing ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts as part of Kick-Off and Design Freeze Meetings. Actively participates in project meetings and resolves any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations.

• Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods.

Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues within ABB and externally. Sharing best practice across different projects and disciplines.

• Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams in all disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects of medium to high complexity.

Leading single or multi-discipline engineering teams with 5 – 10 resources.

• Reviewing and developing standard processes, tools, and techniques.

Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.

• Anticipating and solving crucial issues and/or unique conditions.

Evaluating risks and opportunities, strategizes mitigation of one’s engineering projects/programs. Supporting the Project Manager in overall project risk and opportunity assessments, and implementation of resulting actions.

• Defining project tasks and ensuring allocation of these tasks among project team members.

Defining schedule, cost, and quality metrics. Coordinating the creation of work plans and cost estimates in all applicable engineering disciplines.
