The wind senior project engineer is in charge of offering technical assistance throughout the project’s development, construction phases, and beyond, involving the evaluation of technical uncertainties and enhancing project optimization, with a particular focus on resource estimation.

Description

• Charting potential resources within the context of greenfield development.
• * Evaluating the technical viability of wind and solar projects.
• * Identifying and evaluating terrain characteristics, constraints, environmental factors, and, consequently, land availability throughout development and acquisition processes.
• * Devising and upholding the quality of wind monitoring campaigns, including the procurement of necessary sensors.
• * Analyzing measurement data from both met masts and remote sensing devices (e.g., SODAR/LIDAR).
• * Performing linear/WAsP modeling for wind and PVSyst modeling for solar, incorporating the integration and justification of technical losses and uncertainties.
• * Conducting technical refinements throughout project phases.
• * Generating relevant maps, reports, and presentations.
• * Overseeing and reviewing external technical studies conducted by third parties.
• * Verifying site conditions in coordination with OEM/manufacturers.
• * Reviewing specifications and designs proposed by OEMs and/or contractors.
• * Assisting in the development and/or enhancement of existing assets.
• * Collaborating with the team to provide necessary support for projects.

Profile

• * A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university, coupled with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following software packages:
• Microsoft Office
• Wind Software: WindPro, Windographer, Openwind, WAsP, WindFarmer
• Solar Software: PVSyst (experience with Homer is a plus)
• GIS Software (Familiarity with CAD is advantageous)
• Competence in Python, Matlab, or Macros is considered an added asset.
• Possesses a solid understanding of IEC standards, particularly IEC 61400-12-1.
• Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with a strong commitment to ethical conduct. Exhibits the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Capable of communicating effectively at all organizational levels.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing personnel.
• Proficient in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (speaking, writing, and reading).
• Willingness to travel to project sites for assessments, surveys, visits, and measurement maintenance.
• Demonstrates a strong willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and improvement.
