Senior Accounting Manager (Controllership)

Responsibilities

  • Manage local tax matter and any tax audits.
  • Attend to tax queries from Tax authority, tax agent and regional tax dept.
  • Manage daily general accounting activities – includes journal preparation and reviews.
  • Preparation of monthly deliverables for regional submission.
  • Undertake balance sheet reconciliations, trial balance review and flux analysis.
  • Review documentation of deals for revenue recognition purposes
  • Review and approve payments to vendors and staff claims.
  • Support treasury activities
  • Assist in internal & external audit matters.
  • Other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Skills and competences

  • Good knowledge on Local Tax and USGAAP / IFRS.
  • Experience working with ERP systems. Good understanding of PeopleSoft system is highly desirable.
  • Meticulous with eye for details
  • Highly adaptable and a quick learner on the job.
  • Accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.
  • Leadership quality.
  • Team player and work closely with colleagues to share information and ideas.
  • Hands on working attitude with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise work within tight operational deadlines.
  • Self driven and results focused.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Preferably with 10 years of relevant work experience (ideally from well established MNCs).

Qualifications

  • Degree from a recognized university in Accounting, preferably qualified member of Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia/Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants.
  • Strong working knowledge on Accounting and Tax
  • Good Communication skills
  • Leadership skill
  • Good Analytical and Data mindset
  • Ability to work in matrix and cross functional teams
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude
  • Initiative and positive approach to meet work challenges
  • Mature with good interpersonal skills to operate as pro-active member of intimate team
