Security Analyst L1 (SOC)

Location : On-site (Gading Serpong, Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten)
Employment Type : Full-Time, Shift-Based (24×7 Rotation)
Department : Security Operations Center (SOC)

We’re building a next-generation SOC to deliver cutting-edge security monitoring services for clients across industries, powered by human expertise and enhanced with AI integration.

As we launch this new project, we’re looking for motivated Level 1 Security Analysts to join our founding team. This is your chance to grow in a startup environment while helping protect our clients from real-world threats.

Your Role

As an L1 Security Analyst, you will be on the front lines of cyber defense, providing continuous monitoring and triage support across client environments. You’ll work with state-of-the-art tools (including AI-enhanced systems) and contribute to the evolution of our SOC capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, SOAR, and other platforms across multiple client environments.

• Perform initial triage, classification, and prioritization of security events.

• Escalate incidents based on severity and follow detailed SOC playbooks and workflows.

• Document all findings and actions clearly and accurately in ticketing systems.

• Participate in shift handovers and ensure proper knowledge transfer.

• Collaborate with internal teams and client-facing engineers to support investigations.

• Provide input to improve detection logic, playbooks, and automation.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a SOC, NOC, IT security, or incident response environment.

• Solid foundation in cybersecurity principles: malware types, attack vectors, threat lifecycle, etc.

• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar), endpoint security, or firewall logs.

• Familiarity with monitoring or supporting multiple customer environments (MSSP experience is a plus).

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially under pressure.

• Comfortable working in a 24×7 rotating shift schedule (including nights and weekends).

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, ECIH, CHFI or similar.

Preferred/Bonus Skills

• Knowledge of or exposure to AI and machine learning concepts related to cybersecurity (e.g., anomaly detection, behavioral analysis).

• Experience with automation and orchestration tools (SOAR platforms).

• Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Experience working in a client-facing SOC or MSSP environment.
