Section Head Shipping Operation (Port Captain)

Job Description:

Ensure the operations of owned and chartered vessels can run well, safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. Establish intensive coordination and good relations with external parties (customers, ship owners, vendor agents & authorized officials/authorities) as well as carry out periodic checks and inspections, manage , assessing and monitoring the performance of the ship’s crew, attending surveys with the Surveyor and reporting any findings and recommendations as well as documenting and archiving data on the ship’s daily activities.

Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Maritime Studies or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience as Port Captain, Operation Superintendent or other relevant position related to trading vessel operational activity.
• Have experience as ship deck officer is advantages.
• Have leadership personality, problem solving, integrity and safety mind, decision making, culture & team builder, good communication and detail monitoring. 
• Understand basic IMO Rules (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, etc).
• Understand all end to end ship operating business process and procedure (in port activity, ship to ship, beaching, port berthing, cargo handling & operation, sailing, etc).
• Understand job safety analysis procedure.
• Understand read stability booklet.
• Able to review cargo stowage plan.
• Understand ship certification.
• Good communication skill to marine crew and 3rd party.
• Good reporting and data compiling.
• Understand how to do fuel monitoring.
• Willing to do frequently business trip and placed on site.
