Practice Area Profile

BCG’s Insurance Practice is one of BCG’s fastest growing practices and serves four industry sectors: Life insurance, Property & Casualty, Commercial & Reinsurance and Health, as well as Insurance brokerage firms. The practice works on the full range of issues of concern to top management, from strategy to operating model redesign, digital transformation, cost, process improvement, risk management strategy, asset management, product development, customer focus, and sales force effectiveness. We have a strong global network and “on-the-ground” experience in all major markets. The Global Practice currently comprises over 200 senior staff and works in Europe, Middle East, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, with a total of 44 insurance active offices worldwide. What You’ll Do

Insurance Experts build a foundation for the future of business, working at the intersection of two practices: Technology Advantage (helping BCG clients improve performance through the use of data and technology) and Insurance (deep business knowledge of this sector). We are seeking people who can challenge old assumptions, organize business functions with a digital mindset, create new ways of working to support that, and change the way people think, work, and lead.

As an Expert Project Leader/Associate Director, you are required to be an anchor across the following areas:
•Project Delivery Management: Plan technical deliverables to meet project’s requirements within allocated budget
•Requirements Management: Partner with vendors and subject matter experts to understand and implement functional and technical requirements
•Design & Development: Partner with various leads such as domain/security architects to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards. 
•Test Management: Ensure completion of SIT, UAT testing, performance/load testing, penetration testing with quality results
•Implementation Management: Prepare and coordinate technical implementation plan/activities 

To be an Expert Associate Director, you are required to also contribute significantly to BCG’s intellectual capital, generate interest and excitement about their expertise area, and coach and mentor others.

What You’ll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

We’re looking for exceptional talent from consulting or industry to join us. You would typically have:
•A minimum of 12 years’ experience overall, with a significant consulting experience driving large scale, technology enabled transformation, preferably in an international/multicultural environment
•Deep expertise in Life, Health, or GI (ideally all 3)
•Strong knowledge of tech vendors across Asia Pacific, especially Southeast Asia – including system integrators / good network
•Must be able to communicate clearly, succinctly to senior stakeholders – including business
•Knows best-in-class tech and must be seen by the client as very knowledgeable 

Experts work side-by-side with practice areas to create value & competitive advantage for our clients. Your team will include senior BCG leadership, teams of BCG Consultants, and both junior and senior client leaders working collaboratively to drive the transformation, and shared services/control functions. You will roll up your sleeves with clients to work through both macro and day-to-day problem solving in an agile fashion and often, you will also work side-by-side with agile coaches in an apprenticeship model to help our clients develop their internal agile coaching workforce.
