Job description & requirements

DANA is looking for an amazing Software Development Engineer in TEST Intern to help us build and maintain the highest quality on our app. SDET are our terms for Quality Assurance team which more focus on the Test Automation.  As a Software Development Engineer in Test (Backend), you assist with enhancing our automation infrastructure, increasing our automation test coverage, and improving our existing automation frameworks. This includes identifying current gaps and implementing solutions to address them. You have to be familiar with testing concepts and automation tools.  You will work alongside and support developers by designing and maintaining cutting-edge automation systems to ensure we deploy code with high quality and speed. 

What days look like as our SDET: 

• Be responsible for the system testing process, including but not limited to: analysis, designing and executing test plans and cases, and conducting defect tracking;
• Write automated test cases using Java and execute test plans, test cases derived from PRD, and System Analysis.
• Work closely with our Developers, Project Management, Product Designer team to make sure the quality of the product.
• Work with development teams to understand what slows them down
• Design and implement tools to help in testing activities
• Perform thorough regression testing on the integration phase to make sure there are no leftover bugs.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Always learn something new about SDLC & STLC process.

To apply, you must have: 

• Bachelor’s in computer science or Equivalent Degree.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong preference for proficiency in JAVA (programming and debugging skills).
• Having good knowledge on REST API, Git, and Databases.
• Team player – you love to teach others about cool new tricks you learned and absorb tips and tricks from developers; love solving problems as a team across platforms
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes is a Plus
• Available for at least 6 months 
• Available to join as soon as possible
