  1. Manage the restaurant’s financial performance, including budgeting, inventory control, cost management, and revenue generation
  2. Analyze financial reports, monitor sales and expenses, and implement strategies to maximize profitability,
  3. Manage and oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
  4. Ensure efficient workflow, coordinate with various departments, and monitor the quality of food, service, and cleanliness,
  5. Hire, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, bartenders, hosts, and support staff,
  6. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any staff or performance issues,
  7. Ensure that high-quality customer service is always provided to guests. This includes handling guest complaints, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant,
  8. Ensure the restaurant is compliant with all health and safety regulations and standards, including food safety, sanitation, and hygiene,
  9. Conduct regular inspections, train staff on proper procedures, and maintain necessary records.
  10. Manage administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, reporting, and maintaining restaurant policies and procedures,
  11. Provide leadership and guidance to the restaurant staff, fostering a positive work culture, and facilitate team development through training, coaching, and mentoring,
  12. Handle emergency situations, resolve conflicts, and make decisions in high-pressure situations to ensure smooth operations,
  13. Ensure the restaurant always meets cleanliness and safety standards, including regular inspections, staff training, and adherence to local regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. The minimum educational requirement is Diploma (preferred in F&B Management) or equivalent.
  2. 4-5 years previous experience in the food service industry, preferably 2 years in a managerial role.
  3. Basic business knowledge, including understanding of financial statements, budgeting, profitability, managing costs, analyzing financial data, and making strategic decisions to achieve profitability and business goals.
  4. Strong leadership skills, able to lead, manage, motivate, train, and supervise employees, as well as handle any issues or conflicts that may arise and strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  5. A good understanding of restaurant operations, including food preparation, safety regulations, inventory management, customer service health and safety regulations, food handling procedures, and relevant industry standards.
  6. Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to the restaurant industry, such as labor laws, health codes, and licensing requirements, to ensure compliance and avoid legal issues.
  7. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and able to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers, as well as resolving conflicts and addressing customer complaints.
  8. Strong customer service orientation, including the ability to handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  9. Able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires them to be flexible, adaptable, work irregular hours, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays, and being able to handle unexpected situations or changes in schedules.
