We are a recently opened, 4-star, boutique resort in Pererenan, Badung, Bali. We strive to provide our international guests with a consistently high level of service, comfort and facilities with a discernible attention to detail and dedicated delivery in all aspects of our guests’ experience. We are seeking a highly experienced Resort Manager to join our growing team of enthusiastic and energetic staff.

Job Overview

The Resort Manager (RM) will be responsible for the daily operations of our 12-bungalow resort, managing our team of 15+ to deliver a high-quality, seamless experience for guests at all times. The successful candidate must demonstrate solid Team Leadership skills, possess a high level of attention to detail, an ability to multi-task and be committed to delivering quality guest service. The RM is expected to set a strong example to all personnel, conducting their role with professionalism, productivity and dedication, and ‘set the tone’ for a pleasant, open and supportive work environment for our staff.

This high-level Management position will report directly to the resort owners.

Qualifications & Experience

 – Minimum eight years experience in the hospitality industry, including four years in a Management position and two years in a similar role in a 4-star+ hotel or resort (not villa);

– Hold a University Degree and / or Graduate Diploma, preferably in the field of Hospitality;

– Fluent spoken & written English & Bahasa Indonesia communication skills;

– Exceptional team-management and supervision skills, overseeing the setting-up, training and adherence to resort Policies & Procedures at all times;

– Solid experience in FO, reservation systems and OTA management;

– Highly proficient IT skills with knowledge and experience in MS Word, Excel, Power-point, Google Sheets and social media;

– Experience in managing Sales & Marketing activities / revenue generation; revenue & expense management experience preferred;

– Experience overseeing all areas of housekeeping and general site-management;

– Exceptional organisational ability with a high level of initiative, maturity and responsibility as a team leader to maximise efficiency;

– Must be willing to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends on a shift basis. The RM is expected to be on call outside of working hours to respond to emergencies as necessary.

Please note that F&B management experience is welcome, but not essential.

Tasks & Responsibilities

– Overseeing the daily operation and smooth-running of all aspects for the resort;

– Leading and managing the resort team of full-time, part-time and contract staff, including regular performance reviews, continued training and adherence to resort policies & procedures;

– Setting-up, implementing and conducting regular reviews of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in conjunction with key personnel in all areas: Front Office (Reception/Front Desk), Housekeeping, Kitchen, Maintenance/Engineering, Garden/pool, & Security;

– Conduct daily Staff Briefings and supervise the implementation of agreed daily / weekly / monthly action points for all direct reports;

– Ensure the resort is in a well-maintained operative condition at all times, liaising with outside contractors as necessary;

– Responsible for managing our PMS, Reservations System & POS, alongside our Front Office Supervisor, ensuring prompt response to booking inquiries and monitoring & adjusting our Pricing Policy in conjunction with our Owners & E-commerce consultant;

–  Oversee all E-commerce activities, with a particular focus on On-line Travel Agency relationships and our on-line presence, responding with marketing recommendations to ensure sales targets are being worked towards for maximum growth and revenue generation;

– Work with relevant departments to establish inventory control of HK & F&B stock, to ensure regular QC, steady supplies and efficient & regulated supplier relations;

– Assess and review customer satisfaction and service recovery processes;

– Oversee our current Continental Breakfast offering and related F&B provision (such as tea/coffee, mini-bar, F&B items in-room etc);

– Work with the Administration Manager & owners to monitor expenses and ensure maximum and efficient cost control;

– In time, it is expected that the RM will assist in the development of monthly forecasting, P&L management and annual budgeting in conjunction with the Administration Manager & Owners.
