Research & Development Manager (Device/Electronic)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Manager to lead and manage our research and development activities for vape products, including e-liquids, devices, and accessories. As the R&D Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the R&D strategy in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to the R&D team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will manage the R&D budget, establish relationships with external partners, mentor the R&D team, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the research and development activities for vape products, including e-liquids, devices, and accessories.
• Develop and implement the R&D strategy in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the R&D team in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and developing new formulations and product prototypes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product development and launch processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory requirements related to vape products.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify consumer needs and preferences, and integrate them into product development strategies.
• Manage and optimize the R&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective development processes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as suppliers, laboratories, and research institutions, to leverage their expertise and support product development initiatives.
• Lead and mentor the R&D team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure their professional growth and development.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and quality control procedures throughout the R&D process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in research and development within the vape industry or related fields, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of vape product development processes, including formulation, flavoring, hardware design, and manufacturing. (Preferable)
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards governing vape products, such as FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Proficiency in conducting scientific research, data analysis, and experimental design.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and innovative mindset.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a smoker/vaper.
• Chinese speaking is a plus.
• Willing to work in CIkupa with WFO Setting a working arrangement
