Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced R&D Team Lead with the potential to become our R&D Manager in the future, to join our dynamic team and drive the research and development efforts for smoking cabins and air cleaners. This role will lead a department of two employees and be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing cutting-edge technologies that address air quality challenges associated with smoking areas and indoor air cleaning devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a small R&D team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
• Planning: Develop a comprehensive R&D roadmap for the development of smoking cabins and air cleaners aligned with company objectives and market demands.
• Innovation and Design: Lead the ideation, design, and prototyping of smoking cabins and air purification systems, incorporating innovative technologies and materials to enhance performance and user experience. Cost optimizing existing products. Handover R&D projects to production (incl. QA/QC).
• Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, manufacturing, and sales&marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of product development processes.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring efficient execution and timely delivery of high-quality products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D, product development, or innovation roles, preferably within the HVAC, air purification, or related industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading R&D projects from concept to commercial ization.
• Strong technical background in mechanical systems, airflow dynamics, filtration technologies, and/or electronics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools, CAD software, and other relevant technical tools.

Longhi Group International is looking for a R&D Team Lead/R&D Manager to our office in BSD/Tangerang, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Task

• Manage end-to-end R&D projects. Research (technologies, competitors, products), plan, implement, test, hand-over to production.
• To perform activities to support new product development and product transfer, such as review formula, manufacturing process and analytical method, including searching and providing new materials and information in coordination with purchasing, perform trial batches and testing in coordination with production & QC, order new materials.
• To perform premarket stability of new products, product transfer, and alternate/change materials (if requires premarket stability), including preparing protocol, schedule, monitoring, and report.
• To coordinate analytical method validation and method transfer for new products & product transfer in coordination with QC.
• To involve in product risk assessment in coordination with production, and Quality Assurance.
• To coordinate of providing Master Production Document for each product have been release and maintain the documents.
• Supervise subordinate to perform activities which supports new product & product transfer

• Complete data product in ERP system:
• Product Coordinator
• Explain spec product to QC and Production team
• Coordination with head of the factory or supervisor, regarding the constraints of each product
• 4Implement Process Flow
• Create SOP standard for process of production
• Training for labour regarding improvement of workflow
• Manage project
• Create supporting data such as component drawing, bill of material

Responsibilities

• To perform activities to support new product development and product transfer.

• Perform trial batches and testing in coordination with production & QC, order new materials

Qualifications

Education/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in Mechanical or in Industrial Engineering
• Years of Experience: 3-5 years in R&D Manager
