The Purchasing Officer can take other responsibilities according to the Management requirement.

Any description related to Purchasing officer not mentioned in this listing remains under the sole responsibility of Financial Controller.

• Ensures that proper purchasing procedures are in place, with purchase orders placed only by the Purchasing Department after due authorization by management, and with the obtaining of competitive quotes were required as per policy.

• To review purchase requisitions considering issues such as lead times, standardization, quantity discounts, and purchasing budgets.

• To ensure the timely preparation of purchase orders so that all approved purchase requests can be ordered and the goods delivered by the suppliers on the date needed.

• Assists Financial Controller in conducting market price survey in coordination with the Cost Controller and Kitchen Leader.

• Ensures that purchases are not done in arms length and that no commission or other forms of rewards are compromised in the negotiation.

• Is familiar with most of the regular items procured by the hotel and custom duties and requirements.

• To identify and select suppliers, including order follow up and vendor file management.

• To maintain proper filing and record retention and is familiar with Purchasing policies and procedures.

• Directly reports to the Financial Controller

• To discharge the duties in an effective and efficient manner.

• To be ready and responsible when assigned to perform any other duties as designated by higher management.
