Job descriptions

• Arrange for press conferences, interviews, and other media and event appearances for the employer which may include a newsroom visit.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with representatives of community, consumer, and public interest groups.
• Direct communication program to maintain favorable public or stakeholder perceptions of an organization’s accomplishments, agenda, or environmental responsibility.
• Day-to-day PR activities (Responding to media inquiries, media interviews prep and follow-ups, press release, keynote speech, standby statement)
• Proactively provide internal feedback on how we can improve our success through optimized cross-department engagement and process improvements
• Building a good relationship with the media, and generating ideas to gain more media coverage and community relations
• Update communications database and guidelines periodically

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years of experience as a public relations specialist
• Having experience in an agency more preferred
• Strong writing skills with the ability to create communication materials for various channels such as presentations, press release
• Comfortable translating data into a meaningful story
• Project leadership and teamwork experience; ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders with different backgrounds, areas of expertise
• Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
• Project and budget management skills.
• Fluent in English
• Experience with the start-up ecosystem
