Join our Industrial Team, PROJECT SCHEDULER – INTERMEDIATE

 
Beca is looking to recruit an Intermediate Project Scheduler to provide project management services in our project team. In this role the project scheduler will be required to have a proactive attitude to collect and analyse data, provide/prepare overall project planning, duration estimate of the project schedule, including resource estimate, resource loading, as part of the project life cycle. This role will also be tasked with development of the study, feasibility and execution plan with the logic connectivity of the tasks.

A project scheduler should have in depth knowledge and familiarize with planning software MS project and Primavera P6. Have a deep understanding of the basic principles of the project scheduling, engineering, good eye for detail, advanced mathematical skills, methodical approach, good interpersonal skills, people understanding and ability to support the project management team. In this role, a project scheduler will be collaborating with project managers, engineers, site engineer in setting up tasks, prepare and monitoring the execution of project timelines. Project scheduler will be required to prepare project schedule forecast, progress assessment, schedule analysis and performance evaluation reports.

Broad knowledge in MS office software, having good communication in English, certification in Project Scheduling will be advantageous.

This role will be based in Jakarta but travelling will be required from time to time to project sites.

Requirement
1. S1/bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Civil / Structural preferred)
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a project scheduler in a related industry with proven work experience
3. Good proficiency in project scheduling software, Primavera P6 and MS Project
4. Certification as scheduling professional will be advantageous.
5. Basic knowledge in project management
6. Basic experience in Industrial heavy engineering, engineering study and construction execution
7. Extensive experience in schedule planning and management, during the project life cycle
8. Ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions. Raise any concern and risks to project team
9. Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes
10. Excellent organizational, time-management, interpersonal skills, team player and self-motivated
11. Ability to process the data from scheduling software to MS office
12. Good analytical and computer skills
13. Good communication in English including verbal and written communication skills
14. Good skill in MS Excel and fully versed with MS Office suite of software (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Project Scheduler Responsibilities:
1. Understanding the scope and scale of the project
2. Where required undertake travel to job sites to gather information on materials, labour and other factors to build the schedule
3. Collaboration with engineers, contractors and other service provider
4. Consult with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks
5. Consulting with the Beca subject matter experts for improvement of the project schedule
6. Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
7. Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
8. Monitoring project timelines and deadlines – accommodate updates and changes to project schedules
9. Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner
10. Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
11. Prepare resource loading to project schedule
12. Responsible to set up earned value calculations as a basis for progress plan and measurement
13. Recommending actions to keep projects within completed on time
14. Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines
15. Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records
16. Active input with project management team for the development of procurement and contract packages
