Program Background

Prospera is a partnership facility between the Government of Australia (through Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and the Government of Indonesia. It aims to foster strong, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. Commencing from 1 March 2018, Prospera is a planned five-year investment which has been extended for 3 years, until February 2026.

Prospera aims to achieve three outcomes:

• Expanding markets, creating jobs – including building a robust private sector through a sound enabling environment; Growing jobs, capital and technology through trade and investment
• Safeguarding economic and financial stability – including ensuring a strong foundation for growth through balanced macro-financial policy; strengthening financial system integrity through supervision and literacy
• Improving public finances and government performance – including more revenue and better spending through improved policy and systems; improved government performance through data and public integrity bodies

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced, responsible, enthusiastic, and highly organised person to join the Climate & Energy team. The Project Officer (PO) for Climate & Energy team, will ensure that team activities (design, logistics, contractual management, and administration) are being implemented in a professional and timely manner. The PO will arrange meetings in liaison with counterpart agencies and provide project and events management support. They will also be involved in developing activity designs, contractual management of specialists and sub-contracted firms (or subcontractors), monitoring activity, and budget implementation.

About You

The candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience as follow:

• Undergraduate degree, or associated qualifications combined with relevant practical experience (minimum 3+ years), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience or accreditation in project management or progress towards accreditation is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and good knowledge of relevant software applications.
• Sound knowledge of Indonesian Government structures and systems.
• Strong knowledge of Prospera’s work routines, processes, and procedures.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills, including English written language.
• Where required, demonstrated potential to supervise relatively small groups of staff performing administrative or other client support functions; and
• Demonstrated ability to undertake ongoing professional development

RemunerationThe remuneration will be set according to International Remuneration Framework Group B, Job Level 2. The remuneration level at which the position is engaged will be based on the successful candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
