Job Description

A. ON PROPOSAL PERIOD

• Together with Sales Engineer to review customer RFQs of Custom Design projects and related technical specifications, propose related technical solution, listing all deviations and/or exceptions and explanations to be considered.
• Select suitable products, components, ancillaries, and external services needed to complete the RFQ scope.List and analyze scope of documentation to be supplied within the contract execution.
• Ensure complete costing of project including contract handling related costs.
• Provide technical assistance throughout the sales process as required. Participate on Product presentations, Training, and related technical presentations to customers.
• (If required) Conduct Site Survey together with sales / proposal engineer in order to confirmed Scope of Work (SOW) & Scope of Supply (SOS)
• (If Required) Provided detail Material Take off (MTO) / Bill of Material & Bill Of Quantity (BM-BQ) based on preliminary / detail drawing

B. DURING CONTRACT PERIOD

• Careful contract review from both technical and commercial aspects. Identify, address and propose solution to any discrepancies between contract and agreed offer.
• Work closely with sales/ proposal engineer to ensure signed purchase order acknowledgment is in line with final proposal/ sales agreement.
• Ability to handle multiple contracts at same time and manage technical/ clarification questions.
• Participate in kick off meetings for custom designed compressed air package projects in coordination with, sales/ proposal engineer, factory, sub-suppliers and local packager.
• Handle contract execution for selected key accounts as per instructions from Custom Solutions Manager Supervisor and/or Business Line Manager.
• Detailed contract and production schedule with monthly project progress report, to ensure overall timely execution.
• Select and source ancillary – NON AC – equipment/ components as required to meet agreed contract requirement. This includes creating and expediting specific purchase orders to sub-suppliers.
• Provide best customer service by anticipating and responding to customer queries.
• Responsible for the contract engineering support from conceptual and detailed design stage through engineering, production, performance testing until delivery.
• Prepare and supply documentation as required by the contract. Includes yet not limited to submission and return of approval drawings, final project manuals, and customized project documentation.
• Keep a fully documented project file. Contribute to timely and accurate order acknowledgement.
• Act as main coordination link, address customer’s concerns with factory, sub-suppliers and local packager.
• Responsible for the proper review and processing of order changes, variations and claims received from customer, factory, sub-suppliers and local packager.
• Monitor the overall contract progress against schedule and milestones. Address early warning of potential slippage and propose remedial actions to minimize delays.
• Ensure costing is in line with expectation. Keep contract costing within estimated budget. Discuss with Business Line Manager/ applications engineers any deviation to minimize impact on overall contract cost execution.
• Maintain a detailed contract file and costing sheet enabling proper evaluation between original estimated Gross Profit vs final Gross Profit, and comprehensive process follow up and status.
• Ensure that project handling is conducted in line with company procedures and QA policy and legal codes and standards where applicable.
• Interact timely with other internal functions (progressive billing, commissioning etc.) and with customers along the contract execution.
• Execute all other tasks as required. (Site Visit, Installation Supervision, Technical Meeting, etc)

Experience requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Engineering / Project management, ideally within industrial compressors sector / Equipment Sector / Engineering Procurement Construction Consultant Sector.
