Key Responsibilities:
 

• Develop and implement project control processes, procedures, and systems for the mining development project.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor and analyze project progress against established schedules and budgets, identifying potential risks and deviations.
• Utilize project management software, including MS Project and similar tools, to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project timelines and costs.
• Provide regular and ad-hoc project performance reports to management and project teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and work with the project team to develop mitigation plans.
• Implement change control processes to assess and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with procurement and contract management teams to ensure adherence to project budgets and contractual obligations.
• Foster effective communication and coordination among project teams to enhance overall project efficiency.
• Leverage your experience in mining or construction projects to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices in project control.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience of a minimum of three years in a Project Control role within the mining or construction industry.
• Proficiency in project management software, including MS Project, and similar tools.
• Solid understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and risk management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse project stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and challenging project environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in mining or construction project control.
• Project Management Professional (POP) certification is needed
