Profile Summary

As Procurement Manager (Sr. Buyer Raw Materials & NPS) the job holder’s role is to ensure that the appropriate supplier base of raw materials and NPS portfolio is developed and managed to ensure that business expectations are met in terms of price, service, quality, technical support and time to market. Internally s/he shall work closely with the entire Supply team (Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Services, etc.) and Global Procurement to support NPD/EPD, NPS or other promotions; and externally interact with the suppliers, contract manufacturers and various Institutions for market trends and analysis.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement the strategic sourcing and procurement processes for a defined portfolio of raw materials/packaging materials. This includes needs analysis, market analysis, tracking price trends, competitive tendering, contract negotiation, cost structure analysis and development, implementation, cost optimization projects and reviews.
2. Develop and recommend the annual budget for one’s own portfolio and deliver against the procurement annual budget
3. Achieve optimum cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the compliance to delivery targets
4. Manage all procurement activities in the factory related to Non-Production spend and Capital expenditures (CAPEX and OPEX) with minimal loss to factory operations
5. Support the business in the resolution of severe/recurrent quality or service issues
6. Identify and implement the cost saving projects that involve suppliers or purchased materials
7. Keep a sound and ethical relationship with supplier and motivate suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer
8. Collaborate with the global procurement team in terms of supplier information/local price trends/market information
9. Closely follow relevant commodity prices and currency impact on portfolio
10. Support NPD/EPD projects by tapping sources of new RM / PM; arranging samples for trial and calculating COGS.

Qualifications

1. Minimum holds a bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant studies.
2. Having at least 3 years of experience in relevant industry with 5 years of experience in managerial position.
3. Have a strong understanding on financial management principles and business acumen.
4. Computer literate, preferably proficient in operating Ms. Office Tools (esp. Ms excel), JDE, ARIBA, ANAPLAN and SAP.
5. English fluency (spoken, written) is a must
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Willing to be placed at Cileungsi site and travel among sites in Indonesia
