A person with experience in procurement/project cargo in freight forwarding company.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, logistic or related field;
• Having minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement / Project Cargo;
• Experience in handling Landing Craft Tank (LCT) or Barge project;
• Have a good communication skill in English (Speaking and Writing);
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects;
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management;
• Understanding of procurement and export/import processes, policy and systems;
• Create sourcing strategies and calculate budgeting for any projects;
• Strong negotiation skill, problem solving, communication and presentation skills
• Administrative work related to vendor database;
• Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Responsible as procurement professional to ensure that a business has a constant supply of materials, equipment or service.
• Research potential vendors, manage the activities of non-inventory purchasing to vendors both regionally and locally
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Work to achieve cost savings through effective negotiation, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing.
• Draft and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing to make informed procurement decisions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations and finance teams, to align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring a resilient and reliable supply chain.
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
