Team and Role Introduction :

Lazada Procurement team manages non-trade procurement covering whole Lazada ID group with mostly include platform and logistics business. We maintain being agile and adaptable to the business changes along the way. Cost saving is our main priority to ensure customer-centric approaches and bring added values to the business units we support. As a buyer, he/she shall have solid experience in end-to-end purchasing activities with broad spectrum of purchase categories managed. In this role, specialization may not be prioritized; flexibility to manage various categories is rather more desirable. Integrity and compliance are two core and non-negotiable values a buyer should uphold in performing day-to-day role. A strategic mindset is required to ensure work effectiveness with best approach.

Job Responsibilities :

• Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
• Independently handle procurement projects including complex framework projects as well as direct simple RFQ
• Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings
• Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
• Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the management
• Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required
• Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
• Adhere to any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors
• Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
• Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

Job Requirements :

• Experienced in handling various categories including but not limited to logistics, IT, and marketing.
• A minimum of 3 year-experience on procurement is required
• Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers
• Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities
• Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets
• Able to work well under pressure and handle fast-pace, emergency and changing situations
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with logistics and e-commerce industry would be beneficial
• English fluency – minimum for working and reporting purpose
• Familiar with excel formula and has strategic mindset
• Cost-saving hunter
