Get to know the Role:
We are looking for a Principal Security Engineer to take a lead on Grab security engineering initiatives. We believe a successful candidate has security engineering, infrastructure automation, integration, and development skills, and if you believe you have what it takes then we’d love to hear from you either way. This role is required because we are expanding our regional security engineering capabilities. In return, you will get an opportunity to work with a great team working on complex architectures and contributing to the security engineering of one of the largest cloud deployments in the region.
 The Day-to-Day Activities:

• Lead, contribute and set the Grab Security Engineering technical standards, including cloud security, security operations, devsecops, security automation, and security architecture.
• Interface with production engineering management to champion and ensure the adoption of security standards and remediate security gaps.
• Design, implement, and maintain a secure and reliable cloud infrastructure platform for delivering Grab Services.
• Lead complex and/or critical design reviews and proactively look for opportunities to improve security engineering capabilities.
• Implement security technical solutions and process improvements.
• Create tools for automating deployment, monitoring and operations of the overall security platform.
• The program is mostly in Python / Golang, learning from and contributing to a team committed to continually improving their skills.
• Educate other security engineers, keeping the Grab Cyber Security community up to date on advanced technical issues, technologies, and trends.

The Must-Haves:

• 12+ years of relevant experience operating and maintaining production systems in a Linux and public cloud environment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• A recognized security expert in multiple specialty areas, with cross-functional team experience
• Experience operating and maintaining production container cluster
• Experience working in high-performance or distributed systems
• Comfortable with Python / Go or another high-level programming language
• 12+ years of relevant experience developing and maintaining production systems/applications
• Proficient in managing public cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Ability to perform automation using Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Puppet, Docker/Kubernetes, and any one CI tools (Jenkins, Gitlab, Travis CI.)
• Comfortable coding in at least one high-level programming language – JavaScript, Java, Python or Golang for scripting and automation
• Good working knowledge of Cloud Security and understanding of Security Operations, DevSecOps, or Security Automation
