Seeking an experienced Plantation Manager to oversee and optimize the operations of our 50,000-hectare palm oil plantation in Kalimantan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to sustainable practices.

Our 50,000-hectare plantation in Kalimantan is managed with the highest standards of agronomy and environmental stewardship. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Plantation Manager to join our dynamic team and drive our operations to new heights.

Description

• Oversee plantation activities following best agronomy practices and internal policies to maintain optimal agricultural conditions.
• Ensure plantation operations align with objectives, planting targets, and business plans.
• Foster a high-performance and productivity-oriented culture among the workforce.
• Maintain adequate labor ratios to ensure timely completion of agronomic tasks.
• Apply land clearing techniques that adhere to RSPO guidelines.
• Manage and maintain effective drainage systems in nurseries.
• Improve control systems to reduce wastage and losses.
• Maximize productivity through efficient allocation and use of labor, vehicles, and equipment.
• Strategically plan resources for labor, fertilization, and civil infrastructure needs.
• Ensure effective training programs at the estate/company level for maximum return on investment.
• Enforce and comply with all relevant Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and SOPs among employees, service providers, and third-party contractors.

Profile

• Graduate degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Agribusiness; Master’s in Plantation Management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a Plantation Manager position, with expertise in replanting, land clearing, and nursery management in mature and immature areas.
• Capable of working independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong leadership abilities to promote a high-performance and productivity-oriented culture among the workforce.
• Experience in Indonesia is a significant advantage.
• Proven track record of optimizing resource allocation and utilization, and enhancing control systems to minimize wastage and losses.
• Strong commitment to implementing and adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and SOPs, ensuring compliance among all employees, service providers, and third-party contractors. Expatriate background preferred.
