We are assisting our client, one of a electrical manufacture for Plant Manager Position.

The Plant Manager/Director of Operations is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the manufacturing facility or production plant. They will oversee all aspects of production, including personnel management, production planning, quality control, safety compliance, and budget management, with the goal of achieving production targets, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and manage a team of supervisors, engineers, and production workers
• Set performance objectives, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations

Production Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet targets

Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of safety

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials and components
• Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize inventory and supplier relationships

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices
• Drive initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare regular reports on plant performance, including production output, quality metrics, safety incidents, and financial results
• Analyze data to make informed decisions and drive improvements

Environmental Sustainability:

• Promote and implement sustainable practices within the plant, such as reducing energy consumption and waste generation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, operations management) is often required; a master’s degree may be preferred
• Several years of experience in operations or manufacturing management, with a proven track record of success
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
