The PJO will oversee coal mining operations in South Sumatera, ensuring safe, efficient production and project execution. This role involves managing daily operations, meeting production targets, and leading a high-performance team while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Our client is a leading coal mining contractor based in South Sumatera. They are renowned for their commitment to sustainable mining practices and have established a strong reputation in the mining industry. As part of their continuous growth and development, they are seeking an experienced and driven Project Operations Manager to join their team.

Description

The PJO will be responsible for managing and overseeing mining operations to ensure efficient and safe production. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans and strategies to optimize coal production.
• Set production targets and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
• Manage day-to-day mining operations, including site planning, equipment allocation, and workforce management.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead project execution, ensuring compliance with budget, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee contractor and vendor management for project-related activities.
• Liaise with government authorities, community representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Manage internal and external communication regarding project status and progress.
• Lead and develop the project team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Provide coaching and guidance to ensure team members are effectively contributing to project objectives.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in coal mining operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, production planning, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in project management within the mining sector.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in mining.
